The PALAYA Carver is a contemporary take on the traditional style, bringing together bold form, contrasting British hardwoods and considered craftsmanship.

Handmade in our Gloucestershire workshop, its distinctive laminated timber construction celebrates the natural colours and character of different wood species. Turned spindle details, sculptural arms and a gently reclined back give the chair its unmistakable silhouette. It's all supported by a tensioned steel skeleton that enables the wood to be seen in all its glory.

Designed to be as comfortable as it is striking, the PALAYA Carver would look great as a statement piece or with a number around a kitchen table.

Choose your timber

Each PALAYA Carver can be made with a seat and backrest in your choice of four beautiful hardwoods, each with its own natural colour, grain and character .

Sycamore – Light, creamy and subtly grained.

Cherry – Warm, with soft pink and reddish-brown tones.

Walnut – Rich chocolate-brown tones with darker streaks and expressive grain patterns.

Oak – Timeless and full of character, with golden tones and a distinctive, open grain.

As every piece of timber is unique, natural variations in colour and grain are part of the character of your chair.

Signature laminated hardwood frame. Contrasting layers of carefully selected hardwoods create the distinctive PALAYA pattern, with each timber bringing its own natural colour and grain.
Hand-turned details. Solid hardwood spindles and rounded components give the chair its distinctive shape, combining traditional turning techniques with contemporary design.
Sculptural arms. Angled, mitred armrests create an unusual geometric profile, balanced by the softer curves of the turned components.
Contoured seat. The solid hardwood seat is individually shaped and scooped for comfort, with a gently reclined backrest for a more relaxed sitting position.
Choice of timber. Available with a seat and backrest in Sycamore, Cherry, Oak or Walnut, each offering a different colour, grain and character.
Natural variation. No two chairs will be exactly alike. The colours and grain patterns of the individual hardwoods make every piece unique.
Made to order. Handcrafted in our Gloucestershire workshop using a combination of traditional cabinet-making techniques and contemporary construction methods.
Fully assembled. Delivered ready to use, with no assembly required.

MADE-TO-ORDER: As each item is made specifically for you, we kindly ask that you contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your order. The earlier we are able to halt production, the better. Please

EXCHANGES & FIXES: When your piece arrives, if it’s not quite what you expected, let us know. We’ll work to make it right, whether that’s a tweak, an exchange, or something else. Legally, you can return your item within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. Just let us know. We’ll arrange a pickup, and a £49 collection fee applies.
DAMAGE ON ARRIVAL: We personally deliver every piece, checking it and taking photos ourselves to ensure it’s perfect. If anything’s off, let us know within 48 hours, and we’ll arrange a repair or replacement at no extra cost.
MEASURE TWICE: Please double-check access and room sizes before ordering. We can’t accept returns for items that don’t fit.
